Must not donate if:

Has an indwelling shunt and there is evidence of shunt infection.

Discretionary

Eyes:

For shunt infection, if the corneas are to be stored by organ culture, accept.

Additional information: Donated tissue is cultured to exclude occult bacterial and fungal infection. However, it should not be collected from bacteraemic subjects.
