Source files are offline copies of the guidelines. They allow offline access to the guidelines for the purposes of business continuity and change control within the four UK Blood and Tissue Services (UKBTS).
The UKBTS are notified of upcoming changes to the guidelines, and the availability of new source files, through the Change Notification process. This is the 'date of notification' given below. JPAC shall not be responsible for informing individual users of changes to the files. The UKBTS can issue printed controlled copies of the guidelines but control of such copies is the responsibility of each service.
JPAC ensures that any changes to the live website are equally applied to the offline copies of the guidelines. However, because source files are made available ahead of the publication of any upcoming guideline changes on the website, it is important to note the 'effective date' of any downloads below to ensure the correct offline version is being used.
Please note that the 'effective date' refers to the formal publication of updated guidelines on the website. The exact dates of their implementation are the responsibility of each UKBTS and so may vary from the 'effective date'. Minor differences may also occur in the detailed interpretation of some of the guidelines by each service. Please contact your relevant service for more details.
All downloads below are Edition 203 of the Tissue (Live Donors) Donor Selection Guidelines (TL-DSG). Each Release is Issue 01 unless otherwise stated.
