Additional information: Osteogenesis imperfecta is a congenital disorder that results in defective connective tissue due to defects in the genes relating to production of Type I collagen or other connective tissue proteins. Pathology includes bones that fracture easily, loose joints, poor muscle tone and thin, discoloured sclera.
