Additional information

This is an autosomal recessive red cell enzyme deficiency that is variable in its severity. Suitability as a donor should be discussed with a Designated Clinical Support Officer.

Reason for change:

The entry has been brought into line with the guideline for 'G6PD Deficiency'.
