1. Must not donate if:
   Severe.
   
   
2. If accepted, must inform:
   Transplant Centre, Collection Centre and, if bone marrow donor, the anesthetist.

Additional information

This is an X-linked red cell enzyme deficiency that is variable in its severity. Suitability as a donor should be discussed with a Designated Clinical Support Officer. The condition would be transmissible to recipient of stem cells so Transplant Centres need to undertake their own risk assessment.
